Pictures from Berlin

I eventually published in the gallery some pictures from Berlin which we visited with 4 friends over a weekend in April.

Berlin is a bit like Warsaw. It’s equally grey, chaotic and under construction. It also — apparently — has its unique atmosphere (at least this is what my Italian friend who lives there tried to convince me to). The trip was fun, but I do not share the enthusiasm of my friends about the coolness of the city. I certainly would not like to move there, even if I finally learn some German.

In contrast to Warsaw, which is full of life and traffic, Berlin looked to me more like a ghost city at times. Sure there are nice sky-scrapers but they look more like architectural show-offs than buildings that you go to work at. There weren’t many people on the streets as well. Sure it was a weekend but still it was a bit weird.

I guess I just perfer London as a place to work and Warsaw as w place to live, after all.

But the bread is almost as good as Polish…
